Video?....On our honeymoon,

We received the most awesome gift from my MOH for the wedding, a FLIP video, and I took so much video on our honeymoon. I'm just trying to figure out how to incorporate all this film into a body of work.

Some new things I've been working on.

Last year, for Christmas, I made a few hand painted skyline ceramic pieces for friends and family. After the trip through all that country this summer, I guess I've been inspired to work on some more skylines.

wow that took a while!!!

So I really haven't posted in a while this time. After almost a year of planning a wedding, I'm hitched (finally) to an amazing man! Now I can get back to all of the crazy art addictions that I have, including finally sharing about the Tim Burton show and the Stormking Art Center visit.
The Tim Burton show was incredible, I wish I could go back every day, but sadly it has been closed now for a few months.

Stormking was spectacular as always, I can't get enough of this place. Here are some photos I took while there on my birthday in April.....

It's been a while...............

It's been a while since I've posted here, and I hope to keep up a little more regularly now (I've found a new sense of dedication somewhere between a Tim Burton Show and a Trip to Stormking Art Center- Both Awesome!) I'll post about both of those next but......
For now I just entered a piece in an Art.com contest about Life in Motion. It's an old favorite. Here it is -
This work is oil on canvas it is 22x40". This work was created using drawings and photographs that I made while in London on the date and around the time mentioned in the title. I am a landscape painter and printmaker and my subject matter is places and and moments in time that I have collected during extensive travel. As an artist I am most inspired when I am in motion, traveling and my works are inspired by the small moments in landscape that are most important for me. I use an exaggerated sense of color, texture and perspective to invite the view into these moments in time.
