Video?....On our honeymoon,

We received the most awesome gift from my MOH for the wedding, a FLIP video, and I took so much video on our honeymoon. I'm just trying to figure out how to incorporate all this film into a body of work.

Some new things I've been working on.

Last year, for Christmas, I made a few hand painted skyline ceramic pieces for friends and family. After the trip through all that country this summer, I guess I've been inspired to work on some more skylines.

wow that took a while!!!

So I really haven't posted in a while this time. After almost a year of planning a wedding, I'm hitched (finally) to an amazing man! Now I can get back to all of the crazy art addictions that I have, including finally sharing about the Tim Burton show and the Stormking Art Center visit.
The Tim Burton show was incredible, I wish I could go back every day, but sadly it has been closed now for a few months.

Stormking was spectacular as always, I can't get enough of this place. Here are some photos I took while there on my birthday in April.....

It's been a while...............

It's been a while since I've posted here, and I hope to keep up a little more regularly now (I've found a new sense of dedication somewhere between a Tim Burton Show and a Trip to Stormking Art Center- Both Awesome!) I'll post about both of those next but......
For now I just entered a piece in an Art.com contest about Life in Motion. It's an old favorite. Here it is -
This work is oil on canvas it is 22x40". This work was created using drawings and photographs that I made while in London on the date and around the time mentioned in the title. I am a landscape painter and printmaker and my subject matter is places and and moments in time that I have collected during extensive travel. As an artist I am most inspired when I am in motion, traveling and my works are inspired by the small moments in landscape that are most important for me. I use an exaggerated sense of color, texture and perspective to invite the view into these moments in time.

Things I'm working on ..........

I thought I'd post about some things that I've been working on. We've had some time off of school since we had crazy weather over the weekend. But I still haven't been able to complete anything. And today is St. Paddy's Day which makes it a no work day for me anyway.... so here are 2 paintings that I have been working on. I'll post the finished products next week (I hope).

Bixby Bridge, On PCH, I'm California Dreamin' again.
This is the 1st time I've tried multiple panels like this, the black lines are the taped edges where the panels meet so it's a painting in 7 panels this time.

Heart Shaped Rock- My Mishapen Heart series

I took this pick on a recent trip to Gilford, NH. While on a hike with my Uncle Jeffrey and Tom I spotted this Heart Shaped Rock in their stone wall. I'll have to ask for the rock to use for a sculpture.......
